T5 Enterprise

T5 Enterprise is a robust combination of T5 Server and the T5 Client. This version of T5 allows you to remotely connect to the T5 Server from within your company's network with the T5 Client.

T5 Enterprise is ideal for customers who:

  • need to enable their vendors, customers, or other business partners as a member of their trading community
  • need to manage a large number of trading partners
  • have multiple divisions or entities within the organization that will be utilizing T5

T5 Enterprise provides the same functionality as T5 Desktop with the added power of T5 Server. T5 Server provides you the ability to:

  • Manage Users—Create new users and specify what features of the T5 system they can use.
  • Monitor and Audit T5 Logs—Keep track of all T5 activity.
  • Other Data Sources—Unlike T5 Desktop, T5 Enterprise allows you to utilize any database that you wish (rather than the included JDBC database).
  • Login Service—Runs the service that enables clients to connect to the T5 Server and login.
  • Parallel Tasking—T5's Parallel Tasking feature allows you to run multiple instances of the T5 Transmission and Receive services for increased throughput and bandwidth by preventing T5 from "bottle-necking" on large files.

Like T5 Desktop, T5 Enterprise features the following core services:

  • Internal Database Server—Runs the internal Java-based T5 database.
  • Certificate Store Service—Handles the storage and retrieval of certificates and private keys from encrypted storage.
  • Control Service—Controls the other services and handles routing of requests to the Certificate Store service, and any other message based services that may be plugged into the system.
  • Receive Decryption Service—Decrypts data upon receipt into T5.
  • Receive Service—Handles the sending of receipts and any post-processing requirements.
  • Transmit Service—Picks files up, encrypts them, and wraps them in a MIME envelope.
  • Retransmit Service—Evaluates the retransmission policies in the trading partner agreements and retransmits data as required.
  • Certificate Regeneration / CRL Update Service—Regenerates certificates and updates the certificate revocation list.
  • SMTP Mail Send Service—Sends data via SMTP mail.
  • Ad-Hoc Transfer Service—Handles the conversion of non-EDI files into EDI files.
  • TCP Send Service—Sends data via TCP.
  • FTP Send Service—Sends data via FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
  • Direct File Transmit Service—Sends data for direct file transfer (i.e. when a file is placed straight into a directory either on the same machine or one on a local network).
  • HTTP Send Service—Sends data via HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol).
  • TCP with SSL Send Service—Sends data via TCP with SSL.
  • Schedule Service—Processes scheduled jobs.
  • POP3 Mail Receive Service—Receives data via POP3 mail.
  • TCP Receive Service—Receives data via TCP direct.
  • TCP with SSL Receive Service—Receives data via TCP with SSL.
  • EDI File Rationalization Service—Breaks files with multiple interchanges to different trading partners into single transactions.
